Welcome parents

There are five important things a parent can do to give a child a Smart Start:

Read. Talk. Sing. Play. Hold.

Children are born learning and parents are a child’s first and most important teacher. What a child learns during the earliest years depends on the experiences he has every day with trusted and caring adults.

Early learning skills get their start through everyday moments between children and their parents. Use simple, routine activities as “teachable moments” for your little one. Daily routines like feeding, diaper changing, and bath time offer children rich opportunities to have fun, connect with loved ones and figure out how the world works.

Children don’t need fancy, expensive toys to learn and feel special. What they need is you. You are the most important part of your child’s early learning.

Give your child a smart start. Read. Talk. Sing. Play. Hold.
